It started with a cookie and a catchy song I recorded in my basement. it became a global campaign translated into over 30 languages. co-cd Magnus Hierta, ECD Jorge Calleja, Designer Chris peel and others helped bring it to life. Animation from 1st Avenue Machine, We Are Royale, Psyop, Buck, and Brand New School. artist partners included Owl City, Kacey Musgraves, Chiddy Bang, Tegan & Sara, Chromeo and my eight-year-old daughter. Additional music production from Black Iris, DuoTone, Elias and Chromeo.
In addition to the bigger production pieces, we also kicked out simpler reactive social pieces. A good example is this piece we did for the Royal Baby; we used the occasion to remind people that to parents, every baby is royal. Got my daughter to sing it one morning before school, and she nailed it in one take. Awwww.
Brand New School took the campaign imagery and built a pretty awesome Times Square installation, too.
